It looks like the total production numbers are out now from our friend Paul Newitt from the californiaspecial.com site. The total for 2008 was 7,417 he is creating a sticker for the cars like he did for the 2007 models this should be available soon. Here is a sneek preview of the sticker.

Do you have any way to know what production number a car is out of 7417? Like 125/7417 ?

I wish I did but there is really no way to know for sure unless I had every VIN number and build dates for all the 2007, 2008 & 2009 to put them in the sequence order. I am trying to rank the 2007 GT/CS that I have VIN's and build dates right now I only have 144 out of 7,653 built for 2007. As for 2008 GT/CS I have 1,959 in my database but only a coupe hundred have the build dates, I did try to put those in order the best I could for now. The 2009 GT/CS I have 538 in my database and only a couple with build dates.

Keep an eye out in the californiaspecial.com site to see when they will be available but I am sure it won't be long.

Hey Ron, I saw the post for the 08 stickers on californiaspecial.com, but in one of his posts Paul said to ignore the production number on the sticker that it is not correct and he would try to get the correct production numbers. Hopefully he'll get the numbers soon so I can order a few!

I almost passed over that sentence too while glancing at the post. A later post said that a separate 40th Anniv. dash plaque for the 2008 CS would definately be possible....I'd like to see that too!

Ford's Should of Put some kind of Plaque on the 2008 since it is the 40th Anniversary of the CS. hope we can get a Plaque that would be Awesome.

Any word on the GT/CS 2009 run? I know they are stopping the '09's at the ned of Jan 2009. It should be a lot lower...

Not sure where Paul Newitt gets the prodution #s from but I emailed Ford "https://secure.ford.com/footer/contact-ford/contact-us-email?contactMainTopic=WebsiteFeedback" to get a copy of my CRC report and also asked for production #s. A lady called my to verify my address and told me they bult 4899 GT/CS Mustangs for 2008. She also told me there was no way of telling how many were white, blue etc. or Auto or manuel. I did not ask if she was sending any thing in writing on this subject. If so I will pass it on.

Thats interesting everytime I emailed Ford about that question I was told they had no way of knowing how many were built and I know thats not right, they just did not want to take the time to find out.
