Wierd ticking / clicking noise from rear axle?

Has anybody else's axle made a strange rapid clicking or ticking noise when turning?
My GT has been doing this after about 2000 miles. It only does this when turning sharp right. I hear it everyday as I climb to the top of the parking garage at work each morning. All the way to the top is right hand turns. When coming down the garge (left hand turns) I do not hear anything.
Sometimes when I first start the car in the morning, as soon as I start backing out of the garage very slowly in a straight line I can hear some ticks as well. The other day as I was going straight down the road I could hear it as well. It sounded at first like maybe there were rocks in the tire. Well there wasn't.
I don't think it is the axle TSB problem because it does not make a groaning noise. It is a ticking sound kinda like when I we were kids and would place a card with a clothspin into the spokes of the bicycle. Not as rapid but noticable.
What in the axle could cause this type of noise?

Hi again everyone. I still have this noise and it seems to be getting worse. So I thought I would bump this thread back to the top and see if anyone has had this issue repaired. I just hate taking my car to the dealer. I just have a bad feeling they will start tearing things apart that are not the problem. That is the last thing II want them to start doing.

replaced both upper strut bearings and installed spring isolators per TSB 05-09-11

Sorry to be a pest...
So your car was making the clunk sound on turns? Was your clicking noise in the front or the rear? The noise I've got is at the rear of the car. Faint ticking noise. I have the clunk in the front so I know what that sounds like.
Maybe your noise was something different?

Since day one when driving in reverse I hear that very same faint tick tick tick coming from my car. It only is noticeable when driving real slow, mostly right after engaging reverse and gently applying the gas. It hasn't gotten worse so I just figured it was normal?

That was the front click.
The rear Clunk and hesitation on accelerating I haven't been able to get the dealer to diagnose- they think I am nuts.
And the brake squeaking HA.... they say is normal.

this enoying tick...tick...tick...tick...just started on mine today. I have 2200kms and the noise is noticiable at low speeds in all gears{automatic} I cant pin point it whether it is coming from the left or the right...but defenitly from the rear.. Has anybody found additional info on this or had it repaired..

Well, I'm not sure. We could live with it? Or maybe put some vinyl backed tape around the clips that hold the beauty rings in the rim. I will try some different things and repost if it works or not.
What do you think we could do?

I think I fixed it...... I found a large stone wedged between the tread on the right wheel. I then checked the rest of the tire and the other wheeel as well. Ticking noice has gone away. Lets hope thats all it was. I checked the beauty rings on the wheels and they seem to be intact. All looks good for now. So....if any of you have the larger 17'" tires you might want to check the tread.

Tighten those lugs
had this same issue and saw on a FB post someone simply re torqued their lug nuts to 150 fpt... so I did the same thing (and noticed mine were a bit under) and that fixed the issue. No more ticking 3 days now.

First off, you didn't specify for the 15-17 models in your previous post, nor are they relevant anyhow, as the posts submitted in this thread are specifically towards the 2005-09 models which were posted here under the 2005-09 subforums nearly 13 years ago. Therefore, SpectreH's response was correct, as he was referring to the specs for the 2005-09 models as 100ft lbs torque.
